[ Two of you end up landing into a very strange, unfortunate city. Or maybe you don't and you come crashing instead, being spat out through a vapourwave code portal in the sky. I'm not the boss of you.

When you pick yourselves back up, you'll see that you've landed at the entrance of strange old town, towards the south curving road near the boarded-up house. It's extremely misty and foggy and it kind of distinctly smells horrible in a way you can't quite name yet.

Well! This is definitely some type of hell but you're pretty sure it's not the Hell. So you're going to have to figure out how to get there, or at least reunite with your friends at any rate. Where to? ]

[trifocal]

[ eupha shakes her head as she gets her bearings, then gives an apologetic look to triceracops... ]

I am sorry... If I had not hacked quite so hard, then perhaps... [ well. too late for the self-blame. ] I shall try to find a way back.

[ she types on her keyboard and opens her third eye and... ]

... I am the 1,000,000th visitor to these space-time coordinates?

[ zap! she suddenly flinches in pain, squeezing her third eye shut and clutching her head with her hand. ]

[ he was going to check on her anyway, despite her seeming relatively okay. but he sees that flinch!! he goes to her side and kinda awkwardly hoverhands because even in an au daigo doesn't know what to do here. ]

You hear the distant cawing of a crow. The scenery is scenery-ing. It appears to be early morning still. ]

[ she nods, grateful. ]

It seems to be a virus... but I think I will be all right.

You are right. Perhaps someone here knows another way.

[ is there anyone we can see or hear nearby...? ]

[ assuming i am somewhat literate - if they are near the boarded up house, daigo is gonna go take a peek while eupha scans the area. are the gaps in the boards big enough to see through? what about that window? ]

[ There isn't much noise you can hear except for the occasional cawing of crows, croaking of frogs, squeak of rats... and distantly, the sound of snorting pigs. You might be able to see a distant shadow through the fog that is reasonably person-sized, but you can't make out much details.

The boards on the dilapidated house, I suppose, are big enough to see through. However it's dark inside, and smells dank and terrible. He hears the skittering of rats in there but he can't understand them... yet...

The window is a window. It's extremely dirty. It's more just like it's not bright enough to be able to see inside. ]

[trifocal]

Oh! Perhaps over there...?

[ she'll start walking towards the vaguely person-sized shadow, hoping to see it more clearly as she gets closer. ]

[ugghh]

[ okay well. nothing he can do about the creepy dank house.

he trots after eupha. ]

Be careful. Don't just wander around by yourself.

[ i'm assuming she was like 10 feet away from him at best. ]

[ Yeah probably. Anyway, you called heads but I coinflipped tails. So what ends up happening is that there is an abrupt ear-piercing scream as this figure spots Eupha, and just starts RUNNING for you. The fog is dense enough that you don't get a clear look at it until she's awfully close, revealing a woman with a knife. There's something about her that looks distinctly off, almost like she's a burn victim of some kind? But it doesn't quite look right. Anyway that's not important right now because she is going to RUN FULL SPEED at Eupha and try to slash at her.

This will be the first of many problems, so I'll let you choose your degree of success. ]

[ eupha hears a scream, and instead of anticipating danger to herself, she thinks that maybe this person is running to them for help? she hurries forward to meet them and doesn't see the knife until it's already coming down on her.

all she can manage is a gasp as she stumbles back, raising her arms, one of which takes the brunt of the slash. ]

[ugghh]

[ WOAH HEY

WELL DAIGO IS RUNNING AT THE WOMAN TO SUBDUE HER AND GET HER IN A HEADLOCK BEFORE SHE CAN DO MORE DAMAGE!!

[ the two of you end up landing on... a ship! or rather, you get thrown out of a vapourwave code portal and go sprawling across the docking bay in a sprawling heap.

this isn't Hell... huh. well, you're here! you might recognize it, maybe, in a distant way, but it's again one of those little itches that you can't scratch. you can hear people chattering on the other side of the crates, at least, so you're not completely alone.

but you do know you have to get back to your friends, or at least, you do need to get to Hell. so... what do you want to do first? ]

...oh, great, we lost the nerd squad.

[-is the first thing she grumbles, as she picks herself up off the ground. ow. this sucks after getting exploded on by a stupid computer.]

How do we get out of here now?

[she sure as fuck doesn't know how to open vaporwave portals!]

but they will just go over to where the sound is coming from, using the crate for cover. time to eavesdrop! ]

there are two voices that are coming from the other side of the crates. one that is softer and measured, and another that is more scouse-y. ]

"Are you sure we're to be out here looking? It's pretty empty, right?"

"It only seems that way. Be on alert."

[ are you just listening, or are you looking at the source of the voices, too? ]

[she'll try to sneak a peek after she scoots over to join saber, yeah-- cautiously, trying to avoid being seen in turn while she checks for what they may be dealing with.

looking for something, huh... for now, she stays quiet to see if they mention what or why.]

well, you see two dudes! the taller one is in armor and has a huge fucking axe, while the shorter one is seemingly unarmed. you don't recognize them, but it is kind of... itchy, again, like you feel like you should know them. which is wild because you're in a whole-ass different universe! ]

"But don't you think there'd be more signs, like? They're not exactly quiet --"

"Shh. I hear movement."

[ and the pink haired guy looks up directly at the two of you, even though you're hidden behind crates. ]

"You'll want to come out and face us. If you're borisin, you'll be shown no mercy."

[huh. yeah, the itchy feeling definitely makes her tail twitch... has she seen this pink twink before? no, right??

--and then they get called out. shit. well, these guys both have ears and tails, they must just hear really well? maybe smell really well?

so. whatever, cover blown, nothing to do but handle it. wiš'adel steps out from behind the crates, casual.]

I mean, I've got no idea what those are, so I'm going with "we're not"! We're just trying to get the hell out of here.

[the weird itch of talking to these guys almost makes her want to just fight about it to make it stop, but. they do need info. behaving, for now.]

Stand down, Basilio. [ he murmurs, and the taller guy - Basilio, apparently - relaxes. ]

You shouldn't be in this area, it's dangerous. But I do believe you. You don't smell like borisin. [ he gestures at saber and wis'adel. ] Come along. We'll lead you out.

[ at least they seem friendly? kind of? if not tense and a little rushed. ]
