[ I MEANT LIKE LEAVE THIS SPECIFIC ZONE imagine you really did just have the power to say no and went directly back to Donk City or Hell. Me like I guess so.

The woman collapses after being chokeheld in Daigo's strong sexy arms, enough for you to get a kickstart. Despite how she looks, it appears she is not an Undead of any kind, so it did affect her. You flee further into the city and the horrible smell from earlier fills your nostrils worse. You are going to quite quickly realise what that is, because you pass by a strange, somewhat cross-shaped monument in the centre of this bizarre old town and there is a lot of blood pooled up in its center along with a lot of dead bodies. Yikes. You are not feeling very silly right now!

You see a somewhat impressive, and quite sturdy gate to the north. It's heavily padlocked, with a lion and eagle emblazoned across the brass. You see more figures moving around in the thick fog to the right road, along with a heap of coffins. To the left road, you see it seems to trail off into the woods. ]

[ we hit da bricks!! eupha will take one of those healing herbs as they move, and will keep holding her arm to slow the bleeding while the healing hopefully kicks in.

they pass by the monument and... hm. ok. so much for stopping here to rest. they keep moving, at least until they get to the gate. ]

Where we go from here? The woods?

[ seems better than the direction with a heap of coffins. ]

Uh...

[ takes about .5 seconds to consider this. ]

The woods might give us a moment to collect what little bearings we have. I don't exactly want to have another run-in like that with the locals so soon...

[ to the woods! ]

[ You slip away into the direction of the woods which you think is probably a better idea than going to the coffins path, which is super duper fair of you.

It does lead down to a clearing path that seems more like the outskirts of some woods more than being really the thick of it. You hear a strange sound somewhere in the woods... it sounds like growling of multiple creatures, but also not quite.

The nice thing is, you weirdly see some familiar plants in the side of the road. It looks like the same herbs that you got at the police office!!! Didn't work that out with Flurry but I'm very amused since the healing item is I guess the exact same. Pick up some blue herbs along the road mayhaps? You might need it.

You see something in the distance. It appears to be a stretch of fence barricade, with a big old army truck in front of it.

You also hear some faint conversation... ]

[ well, that's convenient. eupha will stop to pick herbs and put them in the pockets of the pants she probably has even though i didn't choose an outfit.

she whips her head to look at daigo at the sound of conversation. maybe those are sane people? hopefully?

but this time, she is cautious enough that she doesn't make a sound. ]

[ quietly: ] Let's be careful, and see what they have to say.

[ but first, he will also pocket some herb. then he will slowly and quietly approach to eavesdrop. ]

[ Yaaay herbs. When you eat them they just magically somehow help you regain your strength, but it doesn't close your wounds and make you stop bleeding. It's more video game logic, just of a different brand.

[ she considers ripping off a strip of clothes for a bandage, but realizes that would be very loud. so she just keeps putting pressure on her arm as she draws closer to listen.

also quietly: ]

... They sound sane, at least...?

Let's hope they don't have knives. Or guns.

...They're probably our best bet for information right now. Do you want to stay here?

[ since. she is bleeding.

do we get any more snippets of their convo before we ultimately interrupt them...? ]

[ Sure, they keep talking.

'...sidering the train's stopped, something's really wrong with this city...'
'...where else to go, can't get through the woods, can't get through the gate neither, so may as well try to go down...'

And then you hear the heavy clank and creak of something extremely heavy being lifted and moved as one of the figures, the shorter one, reaches down to try and pull at something on the ground.

The weird growling from earlier gets louder by the way. ]

[ hesitating sure was a bad idea! gonna have to make this quick.

he approaches the figures. he makes sure his hands are visible please do not merc him right here in front of hackerwoman. ]

Excuse us, we're trying to find our way out of here. [ out of this dimension, but one thing at a time. ]

Can you direct us which way to go?

[ You come through the fog and you see some familiar faces! The shorter fellow, a man, who isn't actually even short at all, glances up from where he's hauling open some hatch on the ground. ]

Huh? Who're you? Were you on the train?

[ It's truly just that the other fellow is, so much taller. ]

We'd love to help, but we're also in the middle of tryin' to find our way outta here too. Better find it quick, 'cause I don't like that sound I'm hearing.

[ well. she is visibly relieved that they aren't hostile. ]

I'd say pleased to meet you, but, the circumstances could be better.

[ Kiryu doesn't hesitate, he starts down the ladder right after Eupha.

They arrive to a dank and dark underground tunnel. It's not like, the cavernous type, it's like the built bunker type. There's shelves with stuff, and there's a door with an electronic lock on it that Kiryu goes to look at again.

Daigo on the other hand, can shoot these dogs! Maybe it's because they literally don't have heads, but they eat shit pretty fucking fast. They roll terribly and Basilio also doesn't do great -- he gets clawed a bit by one but it's not too bad. Maybe it's because they dropped too fast due to the power of GUN. ]

Shite. Maybe I should get into one of those.

[ You can join the other two. ]

[ eupha stops to listen to the sounds above them... gunshots, and then it gets quieter. hopefully, that means triceracops succeeded.

[ He will helpfully hand Eupha one (1) cloth fragment, and one (1) blue vial! It's a vial of blue liquid. It's the same colour as the herbs. Maybe it will heal you even more than chewing grass can.

Kiryu just solemnly is here because I'm trying to type stuff between other stuff and I'm too lazy to go find another Kiryu icon (thanks Ari for your service).

This is what you see, but mostly what's important is the elevator up north! It seems eerily quiet here... the elevator is not working, even though Kiryu is repeatedly interacting with the button. ]
