Oh, fine, not you then. God? I'm good with blaming god.
batterypack: (And talk like a machine)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-10 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Don't blame them either. [ mildly, but still a little firm. ] Though I'm sure that's who everyone will blame sooner or later.
sarkazm: (6 - RonSWwR)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-11 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
They could probably avoid that if we ever heard from 'em.

[unlike anders she has Not tried to text on account of she does not care for it.]
batterypack: (Stuck still no turning back)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-11 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
They've been busy searching for answers to this problem. Not to mention the rest of heaven can't exactly be abandoned even if this is their special project.

[ does not know anders tried texting at all. ]
sarkazm: (11 - z2BwXEp)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-11 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
Right, right, we're just their special little project terrarium or... something.

...nah, gonna have to workshop that one.
batterypack: (Maybe it is all a test)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-11 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
They'll be here in person to speak with you at the end. Before that... it's all only as time allows it. We only speak to them as much as we do because we have to keep track of the current situation.
sarkazm: (20 - BjlAbxm)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-11 05:20 am (UTC)(link)
So what do they have to say about the situation, anyway?
batterypack: (If I fail)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-11 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
They're pretty pissed, understandably. They didn't want this for their project, and they're frustrated that whoever or whatever is causing these disturbances has become very good at covering their tracks. They're busy ruling out a lot of the places they aren't, but it's still taking time they don't want to waste.
sarkazm: (14 - aFwnC4s)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-11 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Annnd in the meantime, we're just kind of-- in a holding pattern while you guys work on that, I guess?
batterypack: (When your last remains are few)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-11 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
[ she just frowns. where the fuck are we. she's so distracted they're walking through a doorway that will likely yeet them into the funhouse whenever. ]

I know it's frustrating. We're trying to figure out what can be done inside this space by all of you, too. If anything.
sarkazm: (6 - RonSWwR)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-11 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well, hopefully there'll be something besides "get tormented for creepy messages"?

[off we go into the funhouse! wiš'adel has a moment to get out a brief sarkaz expletive before the mirrors show them this; skip over the bit at the end with amiya and the shadows and then go through this section.]
batterypack: (I'm only after success)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-12 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
One hopes. [ anyway, this happens. and she's watching it and really trying to grasp everything that's going on, but there's so much going on that she's not even sure what she's meant to respond to here, actually. she recognizes bits and pieces from what wisadel has told her, and when the memory starts to loop again she frowns a bit. ]

What. [ that's about all she says for a moment, yeah, if only to gauge how she's feeling about it. ]
sarkazm: (6 - RonSWwR)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-12 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
...yeah, I've been getting that a lot.

[she sets a hand on her hip, exhaling as it loops, and gives the launcher a tap.]

This guy really gave us a lot of grief at first!
batterypack: (Coming towards her)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-12 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
So it seemed. He sounded fairly difficult to work with, at least. [ but... ] At first?
sarkazm: (14 - aFwnC4s)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-12 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Her Highness was able to calm him down, more or less...? Ease all the rage and vengeance and screaming so he was a little more himself again.

Not that we exactly see eye to eye now, but it's not like I'm carting around a howling ghost.
batterypack: (Stuck in the jet wash)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-12 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
I feel like I'd hear you complaining more if that were the case. [ just saying. ] ... she sounds very powerful to have that sort of control and influence over things.
sarkazm: (14 - aFwnC4s)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-12 07:42 am (UTC)(link)
How was it that the old hag put it...

Even without the power she got from the Crown, she was the kind of Caster you'd only see once in a few thousand years. With it? You can probably imagine.

[...]

I don't understand a lot of the shit Kal'tsit said about it, but she... it sounded like she managed to control something that they thought nobody could ever influence that way.
batterypack: (TV taught me how to feel)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-12 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
I can definitely imagine. It's a little overwhelming, honestly. [ and very powerful, wow. ]

But that's... good, isn't it? So long as the control isn't lost, and as long as it doesn't suddenly flip everything on its head.
sarkazm: (6 - RonSWwR)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-12 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Nah, flipping things is exactly what she was doing. She-- whatever she did in there, she managed to pass something to an enemy of ours that's probably gonna be a big problem later.

... but she also set the myriad souls free. Took them somewhere with her, after we had to kill her.
batterypack: (When your last remains are few)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-12 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
And yet you don't seem very worried about that? [ please have some slight concerns about things being a bigger problem later. ]

... you've had to deal with a lot of choices that weren't necessarily easy to manage, haven't you. Not even all your own.
sarkazm: (14 - aFwnC4s)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-14 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
There aren't a lot of easy choices in the world. I learned that a long time ago-- you're gonna have to do a lot of shit you don't want to do, especially to get anything important done, so you'd better make your peace with that fast and get to work.
batterypack: (Stuck in the jet wash)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-15 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
... I guess that isn't a wrong way of doing things. Especially when there isn't time. I do wish it wasn't exactly the only answer in that case.

[ but instead of expressing further thoughts on that, something else appears. ignore my random highlights, but also ref of the kids (gansey with glasses, adam in red, and ronan) + henry. also orphan girl is a reference to a young child who also happens to have goat legs. dwbi.]
sarkazm: (38 - OitHon3)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-16 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
...fuck. That's not a bad way to put it. Like something just... stops you from thinking.

[it's pretty damn similar to how she felt, realizing theresa was dead. staring at the blood and footprints in the speaker's office. everything just-- it stopped. all the rage and fury and disbelief drained from her, she forgot how to make her body work, forgot everything except two words: she's gone.]
batterypack: (I'll fall apart)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-17 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
... [ well. yeah. ] Even knowing it was coming, and even knowing he asked, and what it was for, it didn't change how any of us felt. He was still dead. And he shouldn't have had to be.
sarkazm: (6 - RonSWwR)

[personal profile] sarkazm 2025-03-17 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Seems like it's always the ones that shouldn't have had to be, doesn't it?

[the ones who don't deserve that.]
