Oh. [ they don't seem to know how to handle that compliment. like they aren't even flustered, they're just like. interesting! but pleased. hehe. ] Thank you again.
[ they kick their feet a bit, splashing water aimlessly. ]
It's fascinating how many experiences can be determined by your surroundings alone. Did you enjoy all of those things?
[ as long as they're pleased! yves isn't going to second-guess this reaction but i dana am intrigued ]
You're welcome again.
[ but he'll do a similar splish splash against the waves ]
Mm-hmm. For a lot of them, I was fulfilling requests for people for work... so I liked the smile on their faces and the way it'd make their day a bit better when I accomplished what they asked.
[ they not venturing very far into the waves. we can just stay here and idly splash. ]
Hmm. So it wasn't necessarily the actions that you liked, but making people happy? I understand that very well. It must be easier to know what will work if you're working with requests.
Then what you liked was spending time with your partner.
[ they keep trying to draw some sort of 'conclusion' from this as if it's not a big combination of all of its parts. it's fine. ]
Hmm. I used to talk to more people. But then while we were getting ready, it was just God and us Guardian Angels. But it wasn't that long. And I like talking to them!
They are fun to talk to! There's something familiar about them—it's very relaxing. And they're so thoughtful too. They've been working very hard for everyone.
I probably like working for them with the other Guardian Angels as much as you like working with your partner!
[ they sound a little sulky at that, honestly. yves is so nice. they would like to give him a definitive answer especially! but oh well. the next thought is a little cheerier: ]
[ squeezes their hand once, gently. ] It's okay. Maybe one day! I'm alright waiting.
[ also what's the height difference before i forget are you all tiny ]
Hugo? Oh, he's great! He's helped me out a lot over the years - he's way more down to earth than I am. He'd knock me over the head when I wasn't seeing straight, and always have my back when I wasn't sure which way to go. I think that I learned a lot, just by being near him for so long.
He wishes...! Though if I'm being honest, I think Hugo probably indulges me a lot. He knows that when I get an idea into my head, it's hard for me to let go of it. Sometimes I'll act before he can even stop me.
[ he gets a bright smile for that. which he cannot see. alas. the glow. ]
If he indulges you a lot, that just shows that he cares. [ although immediately after saying this they're like. well. wait. maybe. ] Then again, sometimes being firm is how people show their love, too...
Hugo does set limits when he thinks I'm going to do something that'll lead to me getting hurt... but he'll also let me get away with a lot, if he knows that it's important to me.
He's my partner. He understands me better than just about anybody else. I trust him with— [ my life ] Hmm...
[ or. trusted. but they are not going to correct themself. ]
It's hard to let someone make decisions that will hurt them. But if it's important, sometimes you have to. Does that kind of situation... come up a lot? [ because that's concerning. ]
Yeah! I mean, with the work we do, sometimes accidents happen... but I think it's more important to try to help others than to be afraid of things you don't expect.
[ why did i lose this tag last night where did it go ]
Oh, is it time for a re-introduction? [ a little :3 smile hehe ] I'm Yves, owner of Courrune, a guild of handymen. Nice to meet you! We'll take on any task you bring to us, as long as it's just someone who needs help. If you can name it, we can do it!
Finding lost items, gardening, fishing, bodyguarding, babysitting, repairs - you name it!
If it's something that specialized, they normally just need a hand... so they'll show me how to do something and I'll take it over. That happened a few times when I needed to help out on a farm, since I don't have all that much experience with animals...
My job is to help people. Sometimes it's making time for them, sometimes it's doing things they actually don't know how to do themselves. Whatever makes them happier.
[ a little correction ]
But I was! We were, I mean. Hugo and I took on most jobs together.

Are you still getting used to talking with people, Ramiel? I don't know how much angels get to interact with folks normally.

Is it too vague to say that I liked more than one part?
Can I ask the big question? Can I ask what God's like? Are they as fun to talk to as you three?
no subject
[ and ramiel brightens at the question! ]

That sounds nice. But what do you do when you fight? Is he always the one who's right?

That is a very open-ended job! What if someone asks you for something you don't know how to do?
no subject
But I've gotten used to most of the jobs by now.
