If it's something that specialized, they normally just need a hand... so they'll show me how to do something and I'll take it over. That happened a few times when I needed to help out on a farm, since I don't have all that much experience with animals...
My job is to help people. Sometimes it's making time for them, sometimes it's doing things they actually don't know how to do themselves. Whatever makes them happier.

Well... With your business, you're doing what people ask you to. So you know what it is that they want, and that they want you to do it. But without those kinds of guidelines, sometimes you have to guess what would make someone happy. Or you know what would be good for them, and they think it isn't.
I suppose that's conflating business and personal relationships. But it sounds like they can be intertwined.

I'm not ashamed of the circumstances that led me to get the scar but... I do know it changed my life.

I don't dislike them, I suppose. I never really thought about it. I just know that there are people who wouldn't want to look like the one who made them, and that given the freedom to look however they want, what people actually choose is extremely varied.
