Birds in general. Crow was just one of its abilities as you saw—allowing Samura-san to swiftly slice apart his enemies.

Birds are pretty dangerous if you're not careful. [ but also. damn. ] You've told me about the blades but... there's something different about seeing them in action.

[ ... ]

But it sounds complicated nevertheless. To have one, to deal with other people who have one, and to navigate your interactions with the rest of the world who know how important the blades are.

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-17 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
I won't deny that being the bearer of an Enchanted Blade has completely defined my life. [for better or for worse.] But I'll never regret accepting Kumeyuri from Rokuhira-san.
batterypack: (And days are always making you blue)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-17 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Because it's important to you. And what Rokuhira stood for is something you firmly believe in, right? You don't seem like someone who accepts great responsibility without knowing how it'll change you and accepting it.
kumeyuri: (16)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-17 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
[well we just got lore yesterday that when uruha accepted this blade he also accepted having his life literally tied to another guy's and that he'll just FCKIN DIE if the other dude does so yeah there was a lot of faith going on here]

Responsibility isn't something you half-ass.
batterypack: (But I come around to you)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-17 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd be surprised how many people might not actually agree with that. [ not her, but in general. ] Or they don't know exactly how much responsibility they're agreeing to.
kumeyuri: (134)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-17 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe. Once you make your choices, though, all you can do is adapt.
batterypack: (If I fail)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-17 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
But what happens if adapting takes you too far from where you wanted to be?
kumeyuri: (78)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-18 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
... You can't control everything in life—that's something you have to learn to accept. You just have to stand by the decisions you made.
batterypack: (With every bubble)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-18 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
Even if they're not exactly decisions you had much of a choice in?
kumeyuri: (108)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-18 07:47 am (UTC)(link)
Like I said, you can't control everything. You just have to try and react to things in the way that you'll regret the least later on.
batterypack: (I'll fall apart)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-18 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
... how many regrets do you have in your life, Uhura?
kumeyuri: (78)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-18 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
[a hum.]

I have some here and there, like everyone else. I don't think it's really possible to regret absolutely nothing.

But I do stand by most of the choices I've made, even if I'm not necessarily proud of them all.
batterypack: (I'm only after success)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-18 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I think to regret nothing would mean you don't feel anything at all, and that's an even bigger problem. [ says the girl who does feel a lot even if she does not always say so. ] Not that I want to say it's a good thing, but... I think that's a good thing.
kumeyuri: (108)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-21 01:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. Yeah, I get what you mean. The same way that I'd tell some of the kids here that it's better if they don't get used to the deaths, even if it would make it easier to handle.
batterypack: (TV taught me how to feel)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-21 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I would say the same should also be said for the adults here, but it may be too late and some of you are, unfortunately, too used to death. [ ... ] I don't want them to get too used to it either. This wasn't meant to hurt them worse.
kumeyuri: (110)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-24 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. Dying at their age was already enough.

[MY MEMSHARE TY]

Yeah...

[ STOP i was mobile and now i am not, so conveniently, speaking of dying: a memory appears. also general visual of the kids (gansey with glasses, ronan with the bird, adam with the coke shirt, noah in the vest.) ]

What was that...?

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-29 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
... a lot of things, I think. [ she frowns to that. ] Cabeswater, for one. Noah, for another. And the connection between the two of them. It was the first time we learned what happened to him.

... A friend of yours.
batterypack: (I'd do it all again)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-04-01 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. He was already a ghost when we met. He was a ghost when he met the boys, too, a little earlier before me. He'd died about seven years ago.
kumeyuri: (84)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-04-02 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Ah.

[well, that's hopefully better than him dying after they met. probably?]

How'd you meet, then?
batterypack: (Stuck in the jet wash)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-04-02 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not entirely sure. According to the others, Noah sort of just showed up one day and they befriended him. He was living at Monmouth with Gansey and Ronan for a while. Nobody noticed he was dead until that moment we found his car, even though he tried to tell us multiple ways.

[he blinks.]

Nobody noticed he was dead...?
