... a lot of things, I think. [ she frowns to that. ] Cabeswater, for one. Noah, for another. And the connection between the two of them. It was the first time we learned what happened to him.

Yes. He was already a ghost when we met. He was a ghost when he met the boys, too, a little earlier before me. He'd died about seven years ago.

How'd you meet, then?

I'm not entirely sure. According to the others, Noah sort of just showed up one day and they befriended him. He was living at Monmouth with Gansey and Ronan for a while. Nobody noticed he was dead until that moment we found his car, even though he tried to tell us multiple ways.

His bones were initially on the ley line still, so it meant he was able to draw enough energy to look alive and real. Without that energy, he would fade.
