the bad news is, the tracks turn and continue to the right deeper into the caves and there is no sign of their wayward minecart towards the exit. ]

LUCAS GOES ON A QUEST and, first of all, i hope he was walking on the tracks because at some point they are the only thing stopping him from falling into a pit of spikes. if he was not paying attention his foot can slip and he can stab himself in it before going back on his way. i just need you to know there's an unnecessary spike pit here. this would take longer if it wasn't 4am for me. he keeps going, determined to find the end with the mine cart.
good news: he does walk until he finds the mine cart at the very end of things! bad news: it crashed into the wall. the smell of smoke is that for some reason this set off a small fire, for comedy.
better news is that yves is still in the cart. now, is he aware? no. is he probably concussed if he's alive? yeah. can lucas still carry him out of spite? sure.
the best news is that there's a treasure at the end of this cart ride. it's a fucking first aid kit. please heal. ]
