That's brilliant! [ this nerd is so cool. eupha definitely understands most of what he's saying. ]

I shall face any danger, to protect this city.

Is it worth doing if it's not dangerous? Let us... hack in.

[ wis probably says something funny here and they all laugh together. ]

[ there's a camera zoom in at saber's words. almost like they're kicking off a montage sequence. ]

Great! I'll need your help, though. I've only got so many hands.

[ and he starts to make his way towards the back of the room, where there are about seven old school box monitors with various codes on the screens in multiple colors. there's like nothing in this room but these monitors, a concrete floor, and something like fourteen keyboards littered everywhere across the table and ground. the true hacker flops down in a shitty lawn chair and uses both his hands and feet to start hacking. as he does, he gives instructions. ]

Triceracop! I need you to give the computers an impassioned speech to get them moving!

Hackerwoman! I need you to hack as hard as you can and form a reality portal!

Kung Fury! Wrestle the time stream with your bare hands!

[ if you want to all roll a d20 for me to see how well you do these tasks - and tell me how you do them.

oh, also, as you do this, this starts to play over you. ]

[ with the montage music started, it's time to lock in. i know for a fact i have a related yakuza screencap for this, i just can't find it.

but daigo will give his speech through the jump cuts of this montage, with truly inspirational lines like: "I know things are looking dire right now, but we are relying on you to save this reality." and "only proud machines such as yourselves can take on this task." and even "everyone will look back on this moment and thank you for your hard work."

realistically, he should be able to do this with his 14, i am just not good at speeches. ]

I am on it.

[ she's coming in to help type on all of these keyboards, seamlessly moving between the qwerty and dvorak!!! her wpm must be out of this world!! with her code-vision to guide her, she will seek the vulnerability in reality and try to open it up, giving kung fury the opportunity they need to grasp the time stream!

unfortunately she is a little flustered in the presence of such a superstar among haxxors because i rolled a 6. she's doing her best. ]

Got it!

[ the music really fits the mood and uplifts them... saber uses their big and beefy (citation needed) hands to wrestle that timestream, forcing it to bend to their will and power through sheer strength alone....

or something. i rolled an 11. ]

Watch it, losers!

[THE INTERFERENCES... THEY'RE IN THERE... she's here to help save their asses, except i also rolled an 11 so there's an unknown degree of accuracy to her wild shooting, here. oops.]

[ this is such a brilliant speech. with a fourteen, daigo watches the machines struggle and heat up, and he encourages them with a gentle, ancient air. his accent is probably the only thing keeping these computers together. when you put your hands on the machines to rally them, daigo, your hands burn with the overclocking mechanics, but you weather through. you've seen worse, probably.

as for eupha, she opens up the time stream and sees the code of reality, it's just that maybe she opens her third eye a little too wide. she's vulnerable to the viruses on the reality web, and they infect her system, making it so that every so often, she gets pop ups in her vision and has to close them manually. this can happen whenever you want, and it gives her a system shock, like being electrocuted.

saber, with their big and beefy hands (real), manages to grab the timestream like you might grab a fish out of midair, and wrangles it around like a lasso. you are making the timestream your bitch, god damn. sometimes it gets a little unruly, though - like one of those inflatable tube guys, it's a wily one, and it headbutts the shit out of saber a couple of times, leaving nasty, dark bruises all over.

and wis'adel, you see the pop ups coming! the interferences come racing for hackerwoman and the true hacker, and you shoot at them wildly, as one does with a machine gun. one of the bullets goes pinging off and hits a monitor, and it EXPLODES. all of you are hit with various amounts of computer debris, leaving plastic and glass parts to stab you in the soft squishy parts. it's not fatal, and there are six other screens, so it seems like you might make it... ]

HACKING TOO MUCH DIMENSION !!!
🡤

[ The TRUE HACKER stands up where he is bashing them codes with all four of his limbs at wild abandon, eyes bugging out with panic. ]

Oh no! You guys are going too hard! You're hacking too much—!

[ If he had more to say, it's lost in the codal dissonance as you guys are slurped into the vapourwave matrix, pulled and tossed around. You see fragments of different lives and worlds pass you by, some familiar, some not. Along the way, you do happen to see where you need to be: Hell, where Satan sits on their (we're allies) glorious throne, pointing to the Present to command more party demons forward to expand their radical bash. That's where you were supposed to land, but you find yourselves tumbling past it in the net of spacetime to someplace far away from where you meant to be.

Furthermore, you won't be together anymore. You can grab the hand of the nearest person to you in a last-ditch effort to not get split apart, but it's too late -- you go flying off in two teams of two in different directions to be spat out in gods-knows-where.

See you in a second!
