[ You come to the arcade and well. Immediately obvious is the arcade machine shooting lasers at the surroundings, fucking everything up.

okay well. can she use her third eye to perceive... the code out here? is this rogue machine hackable? ]

[boxcar]

[ She can use her third eye to HACK INTO THE MAINFRAME... she notices that there is something distinctly off about this arcade machine. Instead of binary numbers, everything is coming up sixes. Huh!

It fires a laser into a car, blowing it up in a totally awesome way. It turns around. Its screen spells out, in pixel letters, FUCK YOU. ]

[ she points to herself like... fuck me? is it saying that to her? to the world? why is this machine so angry? maybe because its binary is actually a septenary? what a tragic affliction. ]

I am sorry... Please, let me help you.

[ she'll start typing madly on her hacker keyboard!!! can she try to flip those sixes back to ones and zeroes? ]

[ Eupha you are truly too good for this world. She can try to hack into it, but she sees something hovering over the rogue arcade machine with her third eye...... a laughing skull emoji with horns made out of ASCII text that seems to resist her trying to mess with its numbers. Give me a roll just for fun. ]

[ curse you, ascii art... i have rolled a 14. ]

[ There's a distinct struggle because there's something resisting... but Eupha's superior powers of hacking seem to overpower whatever this presence is. She exorcises (exercises) those 6's back to ones and zeroes, and the arcade machine strains, resists, and then the presence is expelled, causing the arcade machine to crash down into the ground.

The police at the scene rush in to apprehend it, kicking it while it's down. One of them salutes her. ]

Hackerwoman! Thank you for your service! Where is Kung Fury?

[ she's about to rush to the machine's side, and is a bit shocked when the cops start to kick it??? :( ]

I... believe they went to where the road collapsed.

If you would allow me a moment, I am sure that I can restore that machine...

[boxcar]

Oh, Fifth and Main. Yes, strange things are happening all over the city right now. We're not sure what's the cause.

[ The cop glances over at the arcade machine. ]

Restore it?

[trifocal]

Yes. One moment.

[ she will tappy-type on the keyboard to try to fix the arcade machine! can she turn it back into a nice, functioning device made of joy and chiptunes? ]

[boxcar]

[ She can readjust this arcade machine back into a happy little guy, now that their code is back to normal-ish. The cops helpfully back off although there's one asshole that does one last kick for no reason.

The screen says:

yes! she inserts a coin. ]

[ Yay!!!

She can play a strange game, it's like. A forward-facing platform game, with very much this energy. She has to dodge weird, inflatable airdancer-looking monsters that keep popping in through breaking voids in the game walls, like some Neo-Exdeath shit.

This game is IMMEDIATELY addicting. She feels super compelled to play. ]

[ a platformer...

it calls to her. she will conquer these platforms. at the end of this, she will surely get the greatest prize of all (getting to enter maybe three letters of her name on a leaderboard)

she locks in. ]

[boxcar]

[ Eupha locks in. The game speaks to her...

She gets about halfway through the stage before an airdancer shoots her sprite. Actually it's not just the sprite, the bullet actually flies out of the screen too. Whoa!

The screen reads ominously:

GAME OVER
SEE YOU IN HELL ]

[ NOOO SHE THOUGHT THE MACHINE WAS NICE NOW

well she will flinch and try to duck out of the way but i guess it will graze her. ]

[boxcar]

[ It feels strangely electric! For a minute, her third eye opens... and she senses something different. This bullet does not come from her current time and era. It's an alien bullet, whose code also consists only of sixes. Hmm.

Oh and when she comes back to focus the screen just says SORRY :(. ]

[ aww. ]

I cannot be angry with you... It must have been an error in your code. Caused by something that does not belong in this time and place...

[ can she perceive any other anomalies, with this machine, or looking around the vicinity? ]

[boxcar]

[ It appears this arcade machine was causing a majority of the issues (issues being, blowing up the street and trying to gun down the police, who was trying to stop their fun). The other arcade machines in the place aren't acting out, but if you glance at them, all of them just kind of say FUCK THE FUN POLICE. That's great.

Speaking of the fun police, they really just uselessly watched Eupha go ham on the arcade machine. ]

Not from this time and place, you say? This seems like a job for Kung Fury, but not alone. I'm sure they'll need your help, Hackerwoman.

I see... yes. And if they too are facing some anomaly, there might be some common cause...

[ she smiles at the machines! ] Do not fear. I shall do what I can to make this a place of logic and joy once again.
