1) There are no doors currently opening in this room. They can't even see where the vent opened because it is fully dark. 2) They can try to go back to the staircase they came from for sure. The door is hard to find in the dark but they didn't go THAT far from it, right? And it was the only door here. 3) it is too dark for them to properly see the way jiaoqiu's robot body starts to rust and break, but they can see the spark from live wires coming out of his shoulders, smell the oil dripping from him and hear part of his chest piece clatter to the ground with a bang as his entire body twitches violently.
neve took her hand away but did NOT take her pipe away, so there's JQ turning around and attempting to stab maomao right in the leg with it.

He doesn't need his screen to do damage, however, as he attempts to tackle the both of them and stop them from going near the exit. He is taller than Maomao but not Neverah; he's got about the same height difference they'd get if it was the real JQ. He is, however, heavier than them both, like something is weighing down the metal of this robot. Also, for some reason, his hands has sharp claws that can dig through metal unlike theirs.
now that his screen is cracked she's going to try to yeet some of the contents of his flask into the damaged parts of what would normally be his face if they weren't robots. this possibly does leave her more susceptible to tackling, but she's going to try right afterwards to follow after maomao to the stairs. nat 20 her time has come.........]
[ Neverah is in fact, the fucking coolest. While not!JQ is grappling blindly with Maomao and failing to properly stab her a second time, she throws the robot equivalent of wine at his face (get oil'd, bitch), right into the damaged screens and landing into the wiring. He sparks and spasms, letting go of Maomao and clearing the way for both of them to get back to the door.
Now, this is a bit of a waste of a nat 20, because it turns out the door no longer opens from the inside. There's no keycard slot either. They are simply stuck here. The squeaks are coming. They start to tumble down from the opening of the vent--which turned out to have been above the switches. Yeah, that probably makes sense. It means that not!JQ is standing between them and the squeaks, at least? But they will make quick snack of him.
Luckily, this is when JQ's head bursts into flames from the combination of his insides sparking and the oil. The nat 20 stands. Not!JQ does not, but the light from the flames is enough to keep the little not!rats at bay for now.
12 of them slowly tumble down from the vent, unhappy to be stopped by the fire. they make it known as they jump in place and rock on their legs, clearly hesitating and not realizing they could simply walk around the robot on fire. ]

for now, maomao's leg is injured so she's going to hurry over and offer her a boost up into the vent. she's still got the flashlight for any flesh rats that come over.]

going towards the vent means getting in the way of the flesh rats, though. only a handful of them attempt the perilous jump over the robot fire that is quite frankly getting a bit ridiculous. it's a good thing it's a horrible robot version of JQ that's slowly melting and falling apart from the fire. would be fucked up if it was the real thing.
they can be beaten back, but they will be attempting to land on Neverah as she helps Maomao up to the vent. if they jump high enough maybe they can even get maomao as she climbs up!!! they've only got a thirteen though so roll accordingly to defeat the six evil ratlings ]
[ she will climb up neverah's shoulder while saying that. she's sorry she is probably dripping oil on her. some of the flesh rats can jump up and get some nibbles in as a treat.
hopefully climbing up will dislodge them as she pulls herself up there. once she gets up there with or without the ones that managed to get her, she is going to reach down for neverah to help pull her up. aaaa ]

[ you guys are going to have so many chunks bitten out of you. so many. it's painful. but again, the rats are easy to shake off so long as you are not overwhelmed by numbers, and luckily only six of them were brave enough to jump the fire.
