[since koharu 1. did this last time and 2. is a WEENIE ABOUT IT, w will use her own blood this time. assuming the altar isn't force shielded. which she does check for first so she doesn't bounce backward into The Void.]

[nope, the altar is fine. w can use her own blood and they get themselves a shiny orb! and then they can use another warp pad to go back to the door.]

[ And Koharu... watches W. Maybe a little too closely for a moment too long, mouth pursing into a thin line. But soon enough she's picking up the orb again, looking over it instead. ]

[she pauses a moment, after slicing her hand to bleed a bit-- her blood, by the way, is tinted black. it's a bit of an oilslick shine. but she shakes it off, turning back to koharu and the orb.]

[great! they can head out into the hallway. the door to the other trial still isn't usable, but they can head deeper into the darkness.

also, it sounds like there may be other people up ahead. you can hear footsteps.]

[she reflexively feels to be sure her pouch is at hand in case, easing a dagger into her hand.]

If somebody is here, they won't be friendly, so stay ready.

[as they go down the hall, the darkness recedes a bit. they can head deeper into a temple. up ahead, they see a door with another inscription, that reads Her Most Hallowed Mercy, but you don't see a lock on the door at the moment that you could use your orb on.

there is also an elevator here. the only way ahead you can see is to take it, but it will take two keys to use it.

... also, the footsteps ahead of you? it is saber and basilio. wave hello. they also have an orb.]
