saber can get into a dark part of the maze. basilio can as well. they can see that the next part of the maze is lit up. there might also be tripwires, but they're hidden, so they'll have to look carefully for them. but they can see that to get to the next dark area, they'd have to creep down the hall, around a corner, and either climb over or pick the lock of a small gate. and there's a shadow that keeps patrolling back and forth this way, too.]
he looks like he's thinking about something for a long moment. they've gotta get past this without getting caught, that's pretty clear from the way the shadows have reacted to both the trip wires and just straight up seeing anything move in this area. he leans a little to peek out and take and catch a glimpse of the shadow's patrol path before ducking his head back in and gnawing on his lip slightly. ]

now this part is more maze-like. there are dark and lit areas and a few hallways and corners that result in dead ends, and you're going to sort of have to creep around and explore to find a viable way through. you can't tell exactly where you need to go from here.

[well you guys both did well, using a good strategy, so you find the way ahead pretty quickly, you don't hit any trip wires, and the shadows don't spot you.
but i want you to have fun so a shadow can still sort of catch then as a treat, if they want to have to use their weapons or powers and fight. i'm not going to rp out a fight scene, since it's getting late for becks, but if you want that you can sort of tell me what they'd do and i'll tell you how hurt they get. the shadows are beatable enemies, they're just difficult.
but either way, they make it to a second locked door, behind which is the altar.]
saber's strategy is to also just stab. in theory they would also have some powers because fate/ character but in the end nothing is better than just using your sword to stab. ]
they are able to defeat the one shadow that catches them through the hack and slash method. but it will take a bite from basilio's neck, which will bleed and hurt but not too badly, but will also leave him with the sensation that the bite was poisonous and may just start getting worse. saber will get a claw attack across their chest, which is also surface level but doing poison damage.
the invisibility is also gone now. but after defeating the shadow in this last part, they should have no trouble getting past that gate, so they can just go to another altar with a knife.]

actually, once you leave, you will notice that the keyhole to the Sacred Path room is now closed over. it appears you can't use your key to open it. maybe someone else is in there?
he watches this bleeding pretty closely, and there's a little flicker of something just a little... unsure in his face, before he shakes his head and grabs the orb to bring with them out of the room. he does stop when he sees the other path and the changes there, though. ]
Huh. [ he'll tap the closed over keyhole with one finger, like he's confirming it's definitely locked, before stepping back and shrugging. ]
