murderofwoes: (but if i be wrong)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-04 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Dark, dreary woods? I'll take it as a compliment.

[ thing waves. because she won't. and also he is here. ]

Lost?

[He will wave back.]

Hello, Thing.

[Looking around the equivalent of rural Halloween Town.]

Exploring.
murderofwoes: (what if i've lured you here)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-04 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
Understandable. There's not much else to do in the healing center.

[ is that what we are calling the graveyard now. sure. ]
hextech: (Default)

[personal profile] hextech 2025-03-04 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
The healing center.

[They're Pokémon now.]

I thought you might prefer The Death Center better...? What would you add to make it more fun?
murderofwoes: (dressed in their summer clothes)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-05 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
The name doesn't change its capacities. You were dead before you showed up here. Death in the afterlife tends to be temporary.

[ so. healing only. for accuracy. ]

You have to admit the other side has a lot more... events going on.

[personal profile] hextech 2025-03-05 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
I forgot you would prefer exactness over aesthetics.

[That's fair.]

Events... [NOT THIS.] Which interest you more...? The weekly ones, the ones they create, or... the one which happen near the end of the week?
murderofwoes: (i'm a real live wire)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-05 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
There's no point in aesthetics if they're deprived of substance. It falls into mockery.

[ shaking her head ]

I won't pretend I'm not interested in murder mysteries, but I wouldn't consider any of the ones they've experienced particularly interesting. I can't deny it's part of what makes them so energetic and prone to chaos, but there's a few reasons I can't be bothered to stand and gawk every Saturday.

[personal profile] hextech 2025-03-05 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
[So particular.]

So we need events, but not those events?
murderofwoes: (fafafafafa)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-05 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
I can entertain myself. I was simply stating that there's not much to experience down here for the rest of you. The arrested development ghost throwing tantrums aside.

[personal profile] hextech 2025-03-05 12:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a little juvenile, but I understand.

[He does not realize it, but he is definitely possessed.......]

We have to build the world we want. I was only curious if you had opinions; you are a part of this side as well.
murderofwoes: (you're talking a lot)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-05 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I do have them. Though my opinions aren't going to work with the majority. I'm aware of that. In fact, if they were, I'd be concerned.

[ she can't be a normie she'll die, ]

My opinions never worked with the majority in Piltover either, but I never let it stop me from trying to get into the academy.

It creating Hextech with Jayce through unconventional means.

[He would be concerned if she had normie opinions, yeah.]

I will take your suggestions into consideration.
murderofwoes: (and what if i know?)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-06 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
Hextech again. I don't know if that one is a good example, considering you were murdered for it.

[ she shrugs ]

What suggestions are you looking for?
hextech: (Default)

[personal profile] hextech 2025-03-06 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
It's the principle of it. Risking personal peril to stay true to your aspirations is sometimes necessary.

[He shakes his head.]

Suggestions unique to you without worry about whether they go against the majority.
murderofwoes: (when they're not polite)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-07 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
[ me: i wont lose tags anymore
also me: immediately loses tags because i go that wasn't to me :) when it was ]

To improve this place. [ she's repeating and she knows it, but she's also honestly like. how do you improve this. i have a graveyard. ] Thing is vain. He'd enjoy a way to keep that vainness. I assume others might enjoy that as well.

[ she's truly struggling to think of what to want that isn't Being Away From People Forever ]
hextech: (Default)

[personal profile] hextech 2025-03-08 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
[honestly the biggest mood as a mod.]

I see.

[THE HAND IS VAIN. You know what, he isn't even going to question it.]

I will consider it. Do you like to read?
murderofwoes: (no colors anymore)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-08 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
... I do.

[ admitting things about herself ... wow ]

We're from different worlds, so I doubt you know the works I'm familiar with, but I do think you'd enjoy Edgar Allen Poe. Or at the very least Mary Shelley, despite my ongoing rivalry with her.

[ gives viktor frankenstein ]

[Found the nerd in the goth nerd. Surprisingly, the barest hints of a smile appear at the corners of his mouth.]

I would enjoy trying your recommendations.

[All of the jayvik Frankenstein AUs........]

What do they write?
murderofwoes: (when i show up)

[personal profile] murderofwoes 2025-03-09 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
Mary Shelley wrote what many consider the first science fiction novel in history. She was surrounded by philosophers, and her works often spoke to the nature between the self and society. Her historical works also questioned gender roles and question established theological and political institutions. I'd espouse about the gothic nature of her work, but I'm not certain the term is familiar to your world.

Poe, on the other hand, was a poet. Once again, gothic is what some would use to describe his work. Perhaps dark romanticism is more common. One could argue for horror, even. His most recurrent theme was death in all its forms.
