[ elysia is used to the whole world being a tumultuous time, but it's a little weird for it to be only high schoolers. ]

What are you learning in high school...?

Standard curriculum, really. Math, history, combat, science, language, physical education.

Do you have.... gun fights for your combat lessons?

We mostly watch educational blu-rays on combat strategy and gun care. We get enough experience in our day to day lives that running live combat practice would be a bit superfluous.

Okay. Why don't you explain why gunfights are an everyday occurrence for you?

Not everyone is good at conflict resolution. So there are all kinds of reasons. Political conflict between schools, delinquents and gangs, or scuffles over limited pastries at the bakery...

You all.... jump to using firearms? The way Majima and Daigo jump to using their fists?

I don't know much about either of those two, but... It may be like that? It's a simple enough way to resolve problems.

Oh, not really. A little gunfire wouldn't be enough to shatter anyone's halo.

If your heart stopped, your halo would definitely shatter.

But just being shot wouldn't be enough to hurt anyone that badly.

I've been hearing from others that it's unusual... But it's what I'm used to so it's a little hard to wrap my head around.

It's not unusual for me or the few who are like me, but it is for the general populace of my world.

I think our situations are inverted.
