We mostly watch educational blu-rays on combat strategy and gun care. We get enough experience in our day to day lives that running live combat practice would be a bit superfluous.

Not everyone is good at conflict resolution. So there are all kinds of reasons. Political conflict between schools, delinquents and gangs, or scuffles over limited pastries at the bakery...

I don't know much about either of those two, but... It may be like that? It's a simple enough way to resolve problems.

But don't people get hurt or killed from it?

[sprayandpray]

Oh, not really. A little gunfire wouldn't be enough to shatter anyone's halo.

I understand this works differently in other worlds.

But if your halo shatters, it harms you as if you got shot in the heart?

No, no. Your halo shattering would kill you.

If your heart stopped, your halo would definitely shatter.

But just being shot wouldn't be enough to hurt anyone that badly.

Oh. Okay. I think I understand now. Either your bullets are different or your physiology is different.

A bullet wouldn't normally hurt me that badly either.

I've been hearing from others that it's unusual... But it's what I'm used to so it's a little hard to wrap my head around.

But it's not unusual to you?

It's not unusual for me or the few who are like me, but it is for the general populace of my world.

I think our situations are inverted.

But if others aren't as durable as you, why are you? If that isn't too personal to ask.

Oh, I underwent a surgery to alter my physiology. Do you have super soldiers where you're from?

[sprayandpray]

We don't at all.

[ they are just all super soldiers for no reason and that's normal. ]

Was there some sort of threat you needed to defend from?

[florescences]

It's called Honkai, and it's something that just wants to kill everyone. Sometimes, it causes natural disasters. Other times, it makes everyone sick. A lot of times, it creates and sends monsters and beasts.

[sprayandpray]

That sounds dreadful...

[ and she is afraid to ask if it was defeated because you're DEAD, so like very possibly not. ]

I hope that the surgery wasn't too hard on you.

The worst side effect was my ears changing, but I think they're cute.

What changed about them? [ some girls are elves, that's normal. ]

They were like human ears before, but after, they changed to be more like elves.
