It sounds like most of the people here are into different things than me, anyway.
[ they all like to go OUT and EXPLORE and FLIRT ]
That doesn't sound like you're just looking. [ not judgmental for once, he's a little amused. ] Which are your favorites? They don't have weird effects?
What sort of things are you into? Have you tried asking if anyone else is interested in them?
[ and they laugh at the callout. don't worry about it. ] I don't have any favorites. They're all interesting. And I haven't been affected by any of them yet, so... So far so good.
I do a lot of sports - but mostly racing. And I read sometimes, but that’s mostly for school or after curfew, and... not really a group activity.
[ shrugs. ]
No favorites? Isn’t that kind of cheating? You can’t even recommend anything that way. [ teasing. ] Would you guys even be affected by it if they had any effects, or is it just us?
You could ask others to play sports with you. A lot of people here do have energy to burn, from my assessment. Or a book club, maybe?
[ they're doing their best. ]
Those effects are a side effect of adapting to Heaven. We've been here longer, so... Most things probably won't affect us. [ thinking... ] Oh! I had some pop rocks earlier. I especially liked those.
You should grow accustomed by the time your judgment period is over. I think.
[ ... anyway... they rummage through this stash of candy they've been gathering today until they find a little package of pink and red pop rocks. they hold it out for him. ] Try these. They're funny.

Sometimes people need to distract themselves and stop using quite so much of their resources on one feeling. Especially a sad feeling.

[ they should be the responsible ones smh ]
Anyway. What're you doing out here? Is all this lovey-dovey stuff your kind of thing?

[ they shrug though! ]
I'm just looking. I like eating all the different candies. [ that's not just looking. ]

[ just out of curiosity. ]
Oh... How long would it take to stop affecting us, then? [ it sucks to have to be so suspicious! ] Pop rocks? What are those?

[ for various reasons. ]

[ HE'S NOSY who wouldn't like sports besides a nerd like taair ]
That's kind of a long time to wait. [ but oh. pop rocks? o: ] What do you mean funny?
[ opens the pack to try them, pops some in his mouth... and immediately is taken aback by the sensation and the sound. ]
Why do they do that?!

[ SHRUG! at both sports and at that being a long time to wait. it is what it is. but then they snicker at him. ]
It's carbon dioxide gas stored in tiny air pockets. As the candy melts, the carbon dioxide 'pops.'
