Rich suggested that disappearing from your observation allowed someone else to find us and reach out to us. If you couldn't find us, then it's possible that we weren't in this zone during that period of time, isn't it?

I guess in theory? Most people aren't aware of their existence, is the thing. That's true of most real gods, from my experience.

No, not common at all. Those who claim to have met the gods in my world are usually full of it.

Was this after your death?

Honestly, that's a more complicated question than you'd think. [ but she says it like it's an inside joke? ] But no. And I did meet some people who considered themselves gods who weren't.

Some. But not all of them were men with delusions of divinity?

I think assuming they were all men is a little sexist. [ she shrugs ] Gods and the people who believe themselves to be gods are kind of two very different things.

And women with delusions of divinity, if it makes you happy. [rude?] Clearly. One has power, and the other has merely deluded themselves into thinking they do.

I think anyone with that kind of power doesn't show themselves so easily.

I imagine they have very little reason to. You made it sound as though you've met the real deal before, though. Even before your death.

Yeah. Though... that's a little complicated to explain.

Because it involves a lot of technology and you barely know what a phone is.
