Really? There's a nice one that lives in one of the condos a few blocks from my house. They've very friendly dogs. Too bad the ones from that car aren't more open to traveling to other cars. I bet they would have a nice time.

Oh, they'll stay for a little while, but then they tend to want to wander back to their homes. Not that I blame them. They have pretty nice houses, considering they're dogs.

I wonder where it all came from. Dogs can't build houses...

If I had to guess, maybe God built those for them?

At least powerful enough to build some doghouses, I should hope.

I suppose that's true. Your goddess only really specializes in love, right?

... I think so? I'm not sure what else a goddess of love would do.

Depends on how she views love, maybe. There are different types, aren't there?

I guess maybe us cupids are there to handle romantic love for her, while she deals with the rest?

Like she's outsourcing types of love. [ hm. ] Maybe. It seems like it would be a very big job for one person, god or not. And maybe there are others who work under her that you haven't even met yet.

Oh, yeah... If we exist, we can't be the only supernatural beings out there!

Surely not. [ and now she's also like "damn, what else exists out there in koharu's version of earth?" ] Spirits and demons have manifested where I'm from, so I'm sure there are all sorts of things you've never even seen before.

Within the last year or so, yes. But my mom has been able to see spirits for years.

Would she be able to see me?

Probably, yes. My mom's a psychic. She has a lot of abilities that let her see things other people can't. But I wonder if I would still be able to see you after we left this place.

I've been wondering about that... To be honest, I didn't expect anyone to, or... even remember me at all once we leave.

Really? [ ...well, no, she supposes that makes sense. ] Does it feel better or worse knowing they can and will?

Unless they specifically choose not to, I think. Seems a bit silly to send someone back who's improved without remember why they have, doesn't it?
