Within the last year or so, yes. But my mom has been able to see spirits for years.

Probably, yes. My mom's a psychic. She has a lot of abilities that let her see things other people can't. But I wonder if I would still be able to see you after we left this place.

I think more like you'd have to ask about people forgetting. Pretty sure remembering is the default from this.
