[ Yeah she's definitely trying to shuffle in like an old grandma who really shouldn't be out shopping, but here we are. Upon hearing her name, Koharu freezes. ]
… Sorry. It’s just—we were cutting it so close, and we didn’t have anything solid until the very last second… But I put myself down because using anyone else felt like I would’ve been throwing them under the bus.
... [ well, she gets the thought process behind it. but she also hates that. ]
I get it. You wanted to do the right thing, but not knowing what was going on made it hard to do the right thing. And even knowing who was suspected, I can't say any of those options were very good anyway.
I didn't want to put any of their names down, and I didn't want to make anyone else feel like they were being suspected, so I thought it would at least be okay if I put my own in...
We've never really experienced anything like this, so it's hard to say. But it should be temporary since it's just... a responsive measure. To make sure people are holding other people accountable, and they aren't taking responsibility for things that aren't their fault.
[ she squeezes her hand briefly, and she's leading them out of the convenience store and over to a nearby seating area in the cafe for the time being. ]
It's not troubling us. We don't like it when terrible things happen to you guys. Especially because of things like a trial that shouldn't have had to happen at all.
At least this... probably won't happen again. [ unlike all the other awful things! ] Some of the others already know too, so it's probably bound to get out there now.

That's... you, Zuriel, right?

Probably not a lot, but I wanted something to snack on.

[ she does not say "because you can't see what your options are", but she's thinking it. ]

With luck?

Give me your hand. We'll browse for a bit. What are you in the mood for?
[ she will be a seeing eye zuri, apparently. ]
no subject
I was thinking… I’m in the mood for some onigiri. They should be over there, right?
[ she points, the direction a little off ]
no subject
Over there. [ but she will take her hand and guide her along. ] I don't think I've had that before. It's just rice?
[ easing her into this... because zuriel is in fact going to ask about the blindness. ]
no subject
[ going along… ]
Mostly, but it can be filled with just about anything you like and is usually wrapped in seaweed, too. Why don’t you try some?

no subject
… Okay. That’s fine…
[ she had other questions too but ;;;; ]
no subject
... I just want to know why. I'd like to hear it from you rather than assume things myself.
[ and then she can ask whatever she wants. ]
no subject
Well… If I thought this might happen I would have reconsidered, if it helps.

I'm not mad. I'm just worried. It likely won't be like this forever, because it's heaven, but... I'm also not sure how long it will last.

[ but that answers that. ]
—But it's fine! I'll be okay. It's my fault, so I just have to manage.
