But I can understand that other people put more value in it. So to you it may be better.

It's all I know, really, so...

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-02-26 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
That's what makes it difficult to come to understandings. Everyone can only go off their own experiences.

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-02-26 02:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Y- yeah... But I'll remember that from now on!

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-02-26 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that you were already the understanding type.

I try to be, but I'm sure even I mess up sometimes.

Everyone does. I do it all the time.

[ i'm sure they're fully underwater at this point now, weeee. still making the descent. ]

Then... what do you think about this?

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-02-28 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ whee. there are colorful fishies to look at... ]

About what?

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-02-28 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you like this ocean compared to the ones you've seen in dreams?
hotfixer: (pic#17645314)

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-02-28 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... I had more emotional attachment to the dream. But this is new, so I like it. And it's a little clearer. Dreams can be really vague.
cupidsammo: (pic#17456671)

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-03-01 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
Hm... Yeah, I can't think of a time I had a dream that felt super clear either.

Even when you break them down into hard data, a lot of that data is still just "impressions" more than sensation.
cupidsammo: (pic#17453881)

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-03-01 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that makes sense. They're mostly just images in your head, anyway.
hotfixer: (pic#17645245)

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-03-02 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Right. It's your brain processing your thoughts and feelings and memories from the day. Committing them to hard storage.
cupidsammo: (pic#17522069)

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-03-02 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if my head does "storage space"...

[ like YOURS does, apparently?! ]
hotfixer: (pic#17645275)

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-03-02 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
It does. You just don't think of it that way. But the average human brain stores about 2.5 million gigabytes of memory.
cupidsammo: (pic#17675731)

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-03-02 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
... Huh? How can that be measured?
hotfixer: (pic#17645314)

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-03-03 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
It's easy to measure things like that when you scan and upload a person's brain.
cupidsammo: (pic#17453890)

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-03-03 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Because you can make it digital?
hotfixer: (pic#17645296)

[personal profile] hotfixer 2025-03-03 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. Well, I can't personally do that to someone. But it gets done.
cupidsammo: (pic#17456664)

[personal profile] cupidsammo 2025-03-05 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Well like... generally speaking. I've never heard of uploading someone's entire brain into a digital anything before.
