I would be very concerned if you were. But I think the scheduling's a bit strange, too. Like whatever this thing is is most powerful on Thursdays only, and we're thrown into the next cycle. We take the time Friday to try and find places and freeze them, and collect the bodies and... give people time to process. But it's those three days in a row that are hard.
That, I don't know. We're still looking into it, too, given it started after what happened with Jing Yuan and Charlie. And it feels like they're escalating each week. This is the most amount of people we've seen disappear so far.
And there's still not a lot we could do to stop it. Like, if we could find signs beforehand we could at least restrain people or something overnight, but...
It's... been different people so far, and different places. It's not like you're leaving Heaven either, but I'm not sure where it is. If we knew that, we could at least try to pull you all out before you got too seriously hurt.
It's a miracle that the people who die aren't any of the same people who go on those ventures on Thursdays, though at the same time that's almost worse. It's maximizing the amount of people suffering.
It is, but I don't know if it's actually worse. At least not targeting them means-- they don't have to die while they're still kind of losing their minds.
That's the worst part of this, you know? Even when we get shit right, it's like this. Everybody gets depressed about it, there's no stopping it from ending in more death-- there's no winning here!
Don't tell me you're going to blame everyone for being depressed. [ she knows that's not it. ] But it really is a vicious cycle that we haven't found the break in.
There's about three weeks left. There's no way this will continue all the way up to judgment day. I think God would sooner tear the entirety of Heaven apart than allow that to happen.
What? [ thinking back to what she said. ] I meant that they'll find a solution before the three weeks is over. Even if they did tear Heaven apart, they would prioritize your safety.

That's also true. It feels like a lose-lose situation no matter what.

[no, the depression is fair.]
You think there's going to end up being a break at all?
