Enough to survive on-- and fund a couple personal projects of mine. Always write the costs of ammo into your contract, make anyone who screws you over live to regret it, and it's not a bad gig.
I'm not exactly a gunsman, so I'll take your word for it. Is your contract, like, indefinite then? Or are we talking multiple contracts for multiple clients?
Depends. I've hopped around to higher bidders often enough, buuut... the last one I was on, I figured I'd stick with for a while. No one gets me indefinitely unless I'm deciding when to call it off.
So what you're saying is you're actually your own boss, but people pay you anyway. That's... actually kind of smart. What about if it's a job you don't want to do?

Supply run. I missed the welcome wagon, but I'm guessing the guardians took care of it for you.

[says local woman who argued about eggs.]
Do you have a name, or not?

[ they plunk down a moscow mule for her. ]
It's Gabriel.

[she takes a lil sip... and nods approvingly.]
Ooh, it's got a bite. Not bad.

Let me guess. You're more of the "do things my way, looking out for number one" type?

[she doesn't keep it secret whatsoever.]
I wouldn't have made much of a merc if I wasn't!

Well now that doesn't surprise me either. How long?

Don't get me wrong. I've had assignments I didn't like doing... but what they were paying me? That wasn't what I was getting out of it.

[it's the third option.]

And how was your aim?

And the bitch still managed not to die.
