When God retires, they're gone? [Dead?] Or... unreachable?

This seems like too many coincidences to be able to write off... Did anybody else know the previous God was stepping away?

I believe they planned to go on a vacation, but I would have hoped they weren't unreachable in case of emergencies.

I don't believe it was widely known information across Heaven, yet. The news will likely break after this project... Yet I feel that you're right - it's such a specific time for something so unexpected to happen.

What kind of vacation would the previous God take?

Was it just... the three angels involved in the project and the current God?

I didn't ask. But this is Heaven, so any kind they would like, probably.

As far as we are aware of, yes. Us, as back up. Then God, their Guardian Angels... and Gabriel.

And Gabriel...? Did they get looped into the experiment later?

Oh, no. They've been a part of this project from the beginning. God must have decided it would be nice to have an extra set of hands.

I met them in the tavern before... anyway. How well do you know everyone involved?

Well... Kiraman and Mary and I all arrived about 7 months before the project began. We spent that time preparing together, so I think I'm very familiar with the two of them by now.

That's a pretty long time to work together... Do you know when things began to break down here?

[sprayandpray]

Our communications and transport went down near immediately. It took until the project began for us to finally get some semblance of repairs done.

That fast? That seems strange too.

It does, doesn't it...

Did... it seem prone to going down? Or were there any signs of tampering?

I don't know as much about technology as other people.

Ahhh... I'm also not the best with that kind of thing so you'd be better off asking Kiraman. He's the one that's really done all the repairs.

I do believe that. Even with how everything's gone.

I don't think somebody would take this job if they didn't.

Thank you... I know it must be frustrating when we've been able to do so little, especially on this side.

But I trust that anyone God has chosen to work with them has their heart in the right place. And I trust God's judgment about their selections.

If you trust everybody involved, then that means whatever is around... sensed a disturbance?

[sprayandpray]

That could be the case... Though I don't know what kind of entity would be able to sense a change in God that the rest of Heaven isn't aware of yet.
