For the specific memory we saw, yeah.

[ something happened here, why did i start on the mod journal. where did half of my header go. ]

That's new.
It was the exact same memory? They remember everything else around it?
kumeyuri: (126)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-05 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
[help me like THE HEADER]

Yeah. They remember the people involved, provided they knew them before. And they remember incidents afterwards that happened because of the memory, but they don't seem to recall why those incidents occurred now.

[ STOP I DIDNT KNOW. ]

... I think actually my new question is why are you guys breaking the mirrors?
kumeyuri: (67)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-05 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Someone had a trauma response. Burst of emotion.
batterypack: (I know exactly why I walk)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-05 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. That's understandable, I thought maybe one of you just did it because some of you are destructive.
... I don't know what it is, but the mirrors feel more directly connected to your souls than other things here.
Normally we aren't really impacted by the things that go on here, but the mirrors are even getting to us.

My condolences.

[SHOULD'VE ASKED FOR AN IN PERSON PC SO I COULD ASK YOU FOR MEMSHARE]

Do you think this loss will be permanent? I'm worried.
batterypack: (I'll fall apart)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-05 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
[ come back later before monday rollover jan. ]

It's fine.
...I have a feeling it's likely similar to Koharu's blindness. Temporary to prove a point, permanently long enough to be sure it's made.

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-05 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
All right. Though that makes it concerning for when it might suddenly come back.
batterypack: (When your last remains are few)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-05 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
Do you worry it'll re-traumatize them?
kumeyuri: (27)

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-05 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. I don't have experience with memory loss, but I feel like forgetting something and then remembering it would be like getting hit with the trauma again.
batterypack: (Oh! Oh no! Oh no...oh no...oh)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-05 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[ zuriel, who is elsewhere experiencing this exact phenomenon, will look back on this conversation and go "oh, damn." ]

Then maybe the answer is to just be there for that person when it inevitably comes back. You may not know when, or how, but there are signs and I'm sure you'll know.

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-05 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[ZURIEL.........]

I've told them to let me know if it returns so they don't have to deal with it alone, but we'll see if they listen to me.
batterypack: (And in the end)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-05 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Here's hoping.
So long as you're also taking care of yourself, too.

[personal profile] kumeyuri 2025-03-05 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I am, don't worry.
batterypack: ('Cause I feel like I'm the worst)

[personal profile] batterypack 2025-03-06 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Good.
Make sure it stays that way.

Same to you.
