I don't mind the ground. I was in a chair for a while earlier and wanted to change positions. [ restless... and also shameless. ]

Fair enough, I guess. Have you been in the library all day?

On and off. Gamaliel's the one who was working with all of the heavenly archives, but I've been trying to look into other things, too. But I've been out to the market a few times when the holidays change over.

These places are relatively new to you too, right?

[holyspirits]

Yes and no. The islands have always been here, but the train is letting you visit little by little instead of giving you access to everything. You could still go back to the beach if you wanted, but now you have a little more space. We haven't spent much time out here before now though, no.

Good, I'm glad we still have access to the beach.

[not for the beach part specifically, though.]

Did you guys have any hand in designing these places?

No, these ones were already here. The only thing we had any hand in creating was the neighborhood. We worked with God on that one.

Yeah, I remembered that, from when you guys first showed up.

Yeah. The train will let you go further and further the longer you're here until the end of the judgment period. For any of you who choose to stay, you'll have free reign over heaven. And for everyone who are allowed to return, it won't matter.

Well, you know I'm in the category of "won't matter", but I guess I'm just curious—so creating places in Heaven is just part of the standard package? Not a job perk?

It's a perk of being a Guardian Angel. It's not like any random citizen can create something. Not without clearing it through us and we go through God, or clearing it through God themselves.

Did you expect heaven to just be a free-for-all? [ funny. ]

I didn't really have a clear image of Heaven, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to seem so normal.

Yeah... people have always imagined heaven to be this grand, beautiful place where everything is perfect and nothing requires much thought and it's holy and surreal. But I think I like this version a little better. It's a lot easier to grasp.

Guess I'd prefer this version too, if I had to stay here for eternity.

It's always an option, but don't let it be your only one. Remember that.

I'll be honest, I don't plan on sticking around here, and I don't expect to be seeing this place again.

Not like this is the only afterlife out there, right?

Definitely not. There are probably thousands of possibilities, but who can say where you end up next? I do think you'd be granted access back here again when you did eventually die again.

If you don't want to take it, then don't. But it's an option and I think all of you should keep your options open. But that's just me.
