Rather than a good fighter, specifically, he's a wielder of an Enchanted Blade. [all things considered, chihiro's actual swordsmanship is just okay.] That alone makes him a cut above the rest.
He summons goldfish. [realizes that might sound stupid out of context but also uruha is an enten stan. kawaii sword.] I've only seen a few of his abilities firsthand. One of them allows him to move at high speed—fast enough that most opponents can't see him coming. Another allows him to do a widespread slash.
[ judging by the way they're staring, it does in fact sound stupid out of context. ]
Goldfish. [ they are repeating this. ] Funny kind of fish where you're from if he can do all of that. But they're just... special techniques. Is that it?
[unfortunately the goldfish are actually very sad in context. uruha doesn't know the context, however. he will just stan anything and everything to do with the rokuhira family.]
Basically. But one Enchanted Blade is equivalent to an army of your average sorcerers.
... Each Enchanted Blade forms what's known as an Eternal Contract with its owner. In return for giving up your sorcery for good, you're the only person who can use that blade's powers for as long as you live.
So if anyone else wants to use one, they have to kill the contractor first.
... makes sense. [ and it does, to them, probably a little more sense than some of the other things uruha's said about it so far. ] And there's no sort of punishment for the contract being broken at all? Can you break the contract even if you aren't killed?
Yeah, that's the idea. There is actually someone whose sorcery can help with that now, but we were waiting for his ability to come off cooldown.
[uruha does not know that the guy also gave himself brain damage futilely trying to save uruha! good news is that if uruha's death gets undone presumably that part of canon also doesn't have to happen.]
It was supposed to be only half an hour with treatment... though he pushed himself to transport Samura-san's Enchanted Blade ahead of schedule and almost killed himself in the process. I'd rather he not transport Kumeyuri at the cost of his own well-being, so I don't know when he'll be able to do so.
[does not say yet that if uruha does make it to the revival stage, they will NOT be able to send him back to this guy's vicinity because that is also, the vicinity of his murderer,]
That's a God question, but... I think they'd be open to requests. If you can think of them before judgment day, I mean. So I guess it's a good thing to think about, too.
All I know for sure right now is that if your god can make it so that I never died in the first place, I can't just be sent back to where I originally was. I'll have to figure out the other details.
They can, I think. It wouldn't make sense to send you back to a time where you'd just die again immediately. So maybe think about where, exactly, you'd want to be sent.

... can anybody wield these blades if their spiritual energy is good enough? Or does it take something else specific?
[ they are concerned somebody can kill these guys and steal their swords. ]

[so sure that's the punishment, you're dead.]

And so the sword you have here with you... ?

[hence why
they wanted him dead]

[ thanks, zuriel. ]
First order of business then. When you get back, steal it back. But easier said than done.

Are you going to be able to wait that long though?

[ it might not end poorly. ]

[UNFORTUNATELY IT JUST WASN'T GOING GREAT]
However the revival works might make things tricky, but we'll cross that bridge when it comes.
