Well that isn't great either. Unfortunately, multiple things can be terrible at the same time. Awful as it is... they've had weeks to fall into the routine. But we're closing in on the cause. So hopefully it won't be much longer now.
I trust God to find the best solution, and they trust all of us to help as we can. I know right now it feels a little like standing still and waiting, but it's a bigger problem than we foresaw.
[ she sees that thought though and frowns. ]
You're also a special case. But if you'd like to help, I won't say no. Have you spoken to many of the others yet?
The gist is better than nothing. But the people here are reasonably kind. I'm sure most of them also feel pretty horrible that you're here while this has been going on. A lot of them have their own routines by now, too.
It's almost too much fussing... [ EMBARRASSING. he is 21 he can take care of himself. ] I guess they've had time to get used to it. You too, huh? You've been here since the beginning of this whole redemption trial thing?
You're the first new person who's come through. Of course you're going to get the special attention. [ haha. ] But yes. We've been here for... nearly eight months now? Six before the start of the project, and nearly two now since the first day.
Yeah. When God explained it to us, I felt like it was a thing I wanted to be a part of. Their reasons were also reasons I agreed with. None of us ever thought it would get this bad though.
Yeah, I bet you didn't. [ he sighs and sticks his hands in his pockets, like what a Situation this has become. ] ...The idea of redemption is nice, at least. I mean, setting aside a [ waves hand ] murder tree and all this shit, I get why you'd wanna work on it.
The murder tree was also a surprise. [ tiredly. ] We've tried cutting it down a few times and it keeps coming back. It really was meant to be a normal tree.
I do wonder if it would have the same impact on you if you ever got close to it. Considering you were a late addition and weren't meant to be here. The fact that it changed after we were already here is what bothers me even more though.

I guess this project must mean a lot to you? If you were working on it for so long before.
