[ re: How do I get something from God? ]

It depends on what you're asking for. But probably by asking.

I don't know what to ask for but I want to get something.

Maybe you can think about what you want first.

But then I'd know what I'm going to get. Wouldn't be more fun if I was surprised?

Oh, so what you want is a surprise. That does sound fun.

I thought gifts were usually surprises. That's why humans wrap them in paper and ribbon.

Lots of gifts are surprises. But other times people appreciate a gesture, even if they know exactly what it's going to be.

It's like when you do a favor for someone. You're still doing something for them, even if they know to expect it.

For example, if you asked for something and I gave you exactly what you asked for, that would still be a gift. And I would still have done it thinking about you and wanting to do something nice, hoping that it would make you happy. And because you wanted the thing you asked for, it probably would make you happy! Right?

I think so? But I simply enjoy having new experiences. So either would be acceptable to me.

I'll keep that in mind and pass the message on.
