I received a job offer. Someone high up thought I'd be helpful in this position.

[ she looks down at the graves again ]

Once it's over, I'll be going back and updating my resume.

And how are you finding your employment? Underwhelming set dressing, aside.

What sort of career do you hope for?

I've had more interesting coworkers, but the job isn't too terrible.

[ as for careers, well! ]

Nothing that actually requires a resume. But the satisfaction that I'm more qualified than my peers is often enough.

...The best challenges are not usually found behind standardized paperwork. Given the choice, I would choose a path that does not require a resume, either.

I didn't say they were without their quirks. Though I don't believe someone having special powers necessarily makes them interesting. I suppose I'll give them that they're certainly better at their jobs compared to others I've dealt with.

[ she nods at that, though; ]

I heard you were a General? Was that by choice or happenstance?

I see. What sort of coworkers suit you best?

You could say a bit of both. It was not what I set out to be, however it is where my path ultimately lead me. And it is a choice, in that such commitment should not be taken lightly.

[ he smiles though, because it doesn't bother him. ] ...Heaven has been a bit of a fantastical vacation, if I'm to be honest. Certain complications aside.

So you chose the life of a General and are committed to it, but you're still enjoying not having to be one. Minus the murder of singing demons.

...Correct on all counts. Though I would not exactly call my life uneventful... It has been rather predictable, for the vast majority of the past amber era.
