I think they care less about the effort they put in and more about the fact this has happened to you at all. Especially if you were meant to return to your worlds in the same state you were in before your deaths. A change that big would be a little volatile to your timelines, I think.

It was difficult, because Noah was generally always a little creepy by nature of being a ghost, but it was worse. That wasn't him, and we weren't going to let someone use him for whatever it wanted.

I think that might be a question for God. I would imagine you'd remember so that you would be able to remember the lessons that led you to the change into a better person, but I do wonder if they would be able to lift certain memories? I'm not sure.
