I don't know how your eye works exactly, so I can't say for sure. But even if you were right, though it's sealed away right now, it'll come back with time. We can't rush that or it could mess things up for you in the long run.
It should. Your powers are still within you, they're just dormant, for a bunch of reasons. Part of it was also to put everyone on the same level in this place, just in case.

It's more like... you're all being judged and have to do things on equal grounds, but powers could give an advantage for some people?
