It's seven. In a lot of places, it's common for it to be seven, but maybe not everywhere. I wonder if anyone else works on a different calendar. [ they are curious how many days are in their year then, but will refrain from asking since i will not force you to think about that if you guys don't actually know. ]
This must have felt a little confusing for you then.
... other worlds. I have to remember there are other worlds. [ this is said more to themselves. ] Our years have four numbers, and they're made up of 365 days with seven days in a week, and four weeks in a month, and 12 months in a year. I think the time here runs similarly.
Sure. If I had known it was a little confusing I would have said so sooner. [ sorry, metaphors. they continue to pick out some flowers for eupha to take for her and elysia, standing on their toes a little to reach some of the ones way in the back. ]
You can ask me anything you'd like. I don't know if I'll have answers that'll satisfy you, but I'll do my best.
Is there any way to acquire something from my homeland while here? I thought I would like to do some cooking, but I could not find all of the ingredients...
It's a herb that grows on my island. It has a distinct, transformative flavour when used in cooking, but needs to be used in small quantities, as it can be quite... potent, or even dangerous, if mishandled. Perhaps that is why the kiosk does not sell it?
I assume that is why the kiosk doesn't sell it, yes. How small is a small amount though? Maybe we can find an alternative or if it's so insignificant we can put in a special order?
Also, whose idea was it to add potentially potent ingredients to a recipe? [ they seem more curious than alarmed though. ]
It's used in a traditional mustari recipe for a fish stew, passed down through my family. Our people are quite fond of strong flavours, with lots of herbs and spices.
... if it's just a pinch, and you're sure it won't harm anyone who isn't used to ingesting it, I think I can get you a little for a batch. Would that help? I think making something to share with people might make them a little happier.
Food tends to bring people together. So just a pinch! I'll see what I can do.
[ pazu you may handwave that she received just the right amount for cooking from zuriel whenever, we will allow it for making a batch and not killing anyone. ]

Oh! I believe they used a similar system in ancient times. This will take some getting used to...

Ancient times? Exactly how far into the future are you?

Thank you. I think this will help me follow along, when people talk about days and time...
[ ... she looks like she's thinking about saying something else, but decides against it. ]
O-oh, that's right! I had some questions about other things...

You have a brother? [ had? whatever. ]

Oh, yes. I grew up with my older brother, Edeni, looking after me. Cooking was one of the ways I helped out in turn.

Were you close then? You must miss him.

Were you still together before you found yourself here? Was it just the two of you in your family?

Shortly before my death, I asked for his blessing to leave the island, and he granted it, along with his heartfelt encouragement.
... I pray that he will not regret it.
