Should've expected that. [ thanks, yves. but they fold their arms over their chest and shrug. ]
I'm not, no. And God and I do have a different relationship, but if you're hoping I have more answers about what the hell they're doing... I doubt I know more than the girls do.
That makes two of us. [ this is also muttered, but a little louder than before. god is clearly fucking this up, as far as gabriel's concerned. but maybe they just don't have the same amount of faith and patience as the girls do. ]
That's right. As far as I know all three of them were offered the job and all three of them are here temporarily. They're all very much alive and will be alive when they return home. [ so? ] God found me after I died, I picked a fight, and I asked for this job.
Well now, see, when you say it like that it sounds ridiculous. [ however it's still emotionshare so mizu can definitely get the sense they are 100% serious about this. ] I wasn't going to just hang around being dead, and I heard about their project. It was something I agreed with, and I wanted to be a part of it. So we had to come to an understanding of what part I could play in it. The bar was my idea.
[and being a little shit about it, too. but it's fine.]
... Their project. You mean our redemptions and, possibly, second chance at life. [hums.] You said you agreed with it. But you're obviously not participating in the way we are. So what drew you to it?
Uh huh. [ and being a shit about it!! but... they continue to lean on the counter and look at mizu for a long moment. ]
Yeah. That project. Redemption and the whole second chance thing? Kind of a big deal. Unconventional for heaven. But... yeah, I agreed with it. I agreed that people should have a second judgment period because circumstances can change everything. Maybe a person's been good their whole life, but one wrong move could change everything. Or maybe somebody's been a criminal but they found Jesus or whatever at the end and turned their life around at the last minute. How do you know someone will stay that way? How do you know they won't give up the minute they think they're "safe" in Heaven?
I think being able to see what a person's like, what their full potential is, and who they could be away from their environments and with time to change is something I believe in, too.
I see. So for you, it's not only about the redemption of those who would otherwise not be here... But also to observe those who would squander their second chance by changing for the worst?

[just throws sweet yves under the bus with zero hesitation.]
Is your relationship with God different? You've already mentioned you're not in the same position as the other three.

I'm more curious about how you ended up here. Ramiel said god approached her with a job offer, and she never had to die in the first place.

So you picked a fight with an axolotl. And it impressed them so much, they hired you to run a bar? [I SEE...] Why did you ask for a job?
