[ good afternoon, zuriel is in the convenience store with two containers of yogurt in their hand, seemingly trying to choose one. but they will turn their head as they're approached and nod in greeting. ]
hands them a spoon as well. eat your yogurt, mizu. ]
It's a protocol manual. We've been looking through it to try and find any sort of answer to why this is happening, or any sort of reference to something like this occurring before. So far, no luck. We looked at all of the archives last week, too, but... call it a naive hope that we missed something and the answer would change.
[sometimes... you must act like an alien who recently arrived to earth. i guess. sticks the spoon in it after a moment.]
Thought that might be the case... Still, how much longer do you think we will need to fully adjust? It's been two weeks, but I've yet to see any noticeable difference.
It shouldn't be that much longer, I hope. We didn't even know it would affect you this way. It's not like we can't see each other or other things either. But there may be some things you won't ever be able to interpret because it's part of our job.
Oh, yes, everyone else ahead of you guys sort of just walked right in? Whether they really fully deserved it or not. I don't think they faced the same challenges though, no. Probably because they were fully cut loose from their original worlds.
In some ways, yes. But I also don't think the attachment is bad overall. Makes it easier to send you back if that's what happens.
[ there's a shrugs. ] Debatably. I'm sure they deserved it, but... everyone deserves a second look anyway. An overall picture doesn't always show the details, otherwise I'm sure you all would have been ejected upon arrival. God's entire plan is about actual judgment versus face value.
We're fairly settled here, yeah. We have a few different rules than you all do and it means sometimes our own reactions are different. I suppose you can say we've built a tolerance to some things.
Little things mostly. We have certain abilities that help us watch over all of you, and we do have a certain amount of immunity to some of the stranger things across this part of heaven. Not fully, but some.
That sounds almost threatening, Mizu. [ no fear. ] But in the event it does I suppose we'll just have to work with it and handle it the same way you all do.
A threat, perhaps. But not from me. [dully.] There are others here who have proven to enjoy causing trouble. If you find a reason to worry, it will be because of them.

Am I interrupting something?

There's a book you've [plural "you"] brought to both executions now. What is it?

stands here holding a spoon and this yogurt container. ok.]
... Hm. Is it legible to our eyes?
[assuming the answer is no, but might as well ask.]

Doubtful. If it glows, it means your sight hasn't adjusted. And some articles have heavenly signatures you likely won't ever be able to see.

There are those who were allowed in without fully deserving it?

And what about you? Considering you have a job here, I assume your attachment to your previous life is entirely gone.
