It's like... Twin Peaks is full of trees and nature and mystery, and this is so neon in so many places I bet you could see it from the next island over.

But the castle's sort of interesting. Want to take a look?

How're you doing? A little better than last week, I assume. [ on account of being able to see. ]

Much better... I don't have to fumble around everywhere, for one. Though, not being able to wander far did mean I got to spend most of the week resting up from my injuries too.

It did seem very unfair that you had to disappear on one of those trips and then immediately after you lost your sight. [ like... why. rude... ]

I'm glad you got to rest though. And now there's more time and energy to see what's new, right? I can't even remember why we picked this island.

Because it's very... cute? And probably the only place you could eat everything if you wanted.

[ there's a pause. ]

Yeah, that would do it. [ lmao. ] That, and I suppose it is more interesting than another marketplace or something.

I don't mind those! Shopping is kind of fun.

[batterypack]

Even if you don't end up buying anything? [ she is not a shopping girly, and yet. ]

Mmhm! Window shopping is part of the shopping experience.

[batterypack]

I imagine that's probably easier for a place like Tokyo where you have lots of windows to shop in. [ she enters a room in one of the halls and discovers it's some sort of painting room set up with easels and art supplies. don't mind her drifting to look at what looks like a half-painted portrait of some woman with cotton candy hair. ]

I'm sure there's plenty of other places in heaven that are good for shopping too though.

[ Koharu peeks in around her shoulder. Huh... ]

There's some! I could grab clothes whenever I want, not to mention food. Then there's the online ordering...

[ ... ]

Maybe we do already have everything we could need.

[ she just raises an eyebrow. ]

You never really realize it until you start assessing it, right? The little things you accidentally take for granted.

Yeah... I guess it kinda gets rid of the need for the shopping experience, huh. But the new stops we get are probably weird enough to make up for it.

To be honest? They're going to get a little weirder. [ but she doesn't mind weird so much. ] We tried to pick places that were unique to each other but also fairly empty so you didn't have the other residents of heaven around.

[cupidsammo]

[ Koharu hums. ]

Are all these different spots inspired by other places? Some of it looks like stuff I could find back home if I travelled around.

I think most of them have at least some ideas inspired from other places, but nothing that's a direct one for one. Though maybe that says more about the types of places in all the worlds than about heaven itself.

That truth is stranger than fiction?

Exactly. Or that even the truth has different versions of it. You and I are both from earth, and so are Gamaliel and Ramiel. But none of us have cupids, and my world doesn't have the same technological advancements theirs do. But all three exist, don't they?

[cupidsammo]

[ That you know of! ... But that goes unsaid. ]

I suppose so... It's still kind of wild to think about, but it seems like anything really is possible out there.

Yeah. It does make me wonder about some of you going back to different versions of the same world and how that might work. If it could even work.

[cupidsammo]

... Someone else can try. I probably shouldn't.

[batterypack]

No, you shouldn't. [ a gentle agreement. ] I think there are plenty of you who can decide though. People who have come from different points in time, or people who've met people here they don't know they want to say goodbye to yet. It's an interesting choice to have to make.

Yeah... I haven't really thought about that. But I guess it won't be long before we'll have to say goodbye, huh...

A few more weeks now. It's coming sooner than you think. But I think that's why we're all working even harder to try and find the source and also bridge the gap from here to wherever the lost souls are.
