Art projects mostly. I've been teaching Taair how to make bookmarks, and I want to make a couple of other arrangements and pressed flowers for different things. Easy things.

That makes sense! Come to think of it, I bet the bouquets would make for some nice dried flowers, too.

That's a good idea! Some for the lobby and some for our room. I know Maomao likes having plants around.

Doesn't she prefer them alive? I haven't really gotten to know her that well, but it sounds like you've spoken to her a little more.

Maybe, if she want to do other things with them, I think. She's been pretty open to decorating our room too though.

So I take it that means the two of you are actually getting along pretty decently. Open to compromise in decorating is good.

I would say so! We haven't had any disagreements—she's been good to talk to, if anything.

That's probably the best thing when it comes to a roommate. Communication's important, and if you enjoy her company that's a step above... a few other people here, apparently.

I've heard some people already asking for singles, and others who have completely moved out. It's not for everyone, but I was hoping we could at least make this part easier...

Oh. That's a bit of a shame... I guess not everyone is used to sharing rooms.

I know it's not really something you can force either, especially when some of you know each other from your own worlds. But I also don't think it's the worst thing in the world. At least we have shelter. I would rather see you all safe than scattered.

I can't think of anywhere else I would sleep, either. A bed's too nice to give up!

No kidding. [ they also love beds? comfy... ] Maybe it would be different if it were sharing with someone completely different. I've only ever really lived with my family before all this.

Yeah, same here... I guess I didn't think too hard about it for long since Maomao has been a good roommate. I wonder if it would've been different with someone else.

Probably. You're both close enough in age that it isn't a problem, and she seems agreeable where you're sometimes too accommodating. [ thanks zuriel. ]

You could have been stuck with someone much more argumentative.

Hmm... Not that I can think of anyone who'd be worse, honestly. But I guess some other personalities tend to clash.

That's a very generous way of putting it, but then again I think you have the type of personality that people find easy to read. It leaves less room for misunderstandings.

I think everyone has something they want to keep to themselves.

You would think, but I think there are also some people who are a bit too honest. It's sort of fascinating.

Aha... You sound like you speak from experience.

Yes and no. Some people also like to use honesty as an excuse to be an asshole. Those are the ones you have to watch out for.
