Haha... I did do a lot of matchmaking back in school, too.

How did that even start anyway? I wouldn't think it would be anything of interest to me, so I've never thought much about it.

I think... back in middle school? I suppose I just started noticing when my classmates would have crushes on each other. After encouraging them the first few times, it kind of caught on from there.

In some cases, sure. [ embarrassing for those people. ] But the more nuanced ones, I mean.

It can be hard sometimes, it's true. There's some that take more observation, and even then you might have to fire your shot and hope for the best.

I suppose in that way it's no different than taking a chance on anything else. You win some, you lose some. Though I can't imagine there are too many consequences if two people don't really work out romantically, are there?

Not really... If we don't make a hit, though, we don't get to collect our reward, so that's not always good.

Yeah... There's a lot that goes into it. But I know how the stories and TV usually convey cupids, so I don't mind the misconceptions.
