I do everything I can for them, the same way that they do everything they can for me. They're my important friends too.
[ but he smiles faintly before thinking about the question ]
... I think so. Ramiel and I talked about it a little bit, because she didn't believe I really loved everyone. And I do... even though I love differently with each relationship.
There are people I do love more because they're my closest friends or things like that... but I want to believe that what I feel for everyone on a base level really is love, at least as I understand it.
Good. I'm glad. [ thank you for being kind to friends. but then he keeps talking and gabriel's leaning on their elbow, assessing yves as if trying to decide if it's all true or not. ]
I think love is one of those things people feel differently, so it's hard to gauge other people's and you just have to take a chance and believe them when they say it. I don't think it's that wrong or different to have different ways to love people. You're always going to have people you know better and have had more time or energy to love than others. Doesn't always mean you love other people less, it's just... different amounts and different ways of showing it.
Can you ever really have a blanket answer for any emotions? I feel like everything is circumstantial. Kinda like this place. People have the potential to be good, but in varying degrees? Same with being bad. I can sort of see why God designed this trial the way they did.

Exactly! You get it! It's like that.
To love everyone, but to still have different relationships with each person. It's not like it's just a blanket answer... that's not really love.
