I'm glad. That's part of what this place was meant to show you, you know? Life. That it's worth living. Worth missing living. [ she gestures around them with a free hand ] I think everybody deserves a chance at that.

... yeah. I agree. [ and he does think that he's still not attached to his redemption as much as other people. he won't say that part out loud. but he'll admit: ] I'm really attached to all of you. I know we're not anywhere near the end... but it is a little hard to think of leaving, whenever someone asks me what I want to do if I get redeemed.
[ the hair smoothing makes her tilt her head to peer up at him again but she doesn't object ]
Because you don't know who's going to stay? [ she assumes everyone means like. Everyone. this is yves. ] I think that's normal. To find it harder to make a choice because you don't know what the people you care about are going to do. Most of the meaning in life is other people.
People weren't meant to be alone. It's literally part of our code.

You've got time to think about it, still. And more than that, I'm sure everyone's taking other people into account when they make those decisions too. Even if it's not people here, it's who they have or don't have back home.
...I think that's the choice I'd want most people to make. [ a pause ] It's not for everyone. Being in heaven is a better alternative for so many reasons. But it's not... living.
