It was much louder, overall. There were far, far more people all moving faster and doing more. There was more space, though, for everyone to fill, and they often did fill it. Though I suppose I did spend a decent amount of time apart from the public.

Not really. I tried to help my sister with her projects sometimes, but she didn't need my help very often. So I did more babysitting than helping.
There was work that I did, but I don't think it's quite the same as having had a job, necessarily. And it was mostly done alone, but at the same time was done in representation of others. So something of a mix.
