But is it bad to acknowledge the things that you want? Or even the things that you used to want? Your youth was still a part of you, and the things that you hope for still matter. Even if you can't have them.

The man I used to be no longer exists. [ So his youth, too, should go with it.. It's resigned. ] Rather than a want, it is more of a dream.

Is it bad to talk about dreams?

[ He's quiet at that and chooses to not comment on it. It can die there. ]

To talk about dreams as dreams? No. To talk about them as being feasible? Yes. You shouldn't disillusion yourself from reality and fantasy.

I'd like to learn more about you. That seems like somewhere we could start.

It doesn't seem fair for this to be mainly you learning about me.

We're here to help you. The more we know about you, the better we can help. Learning about us, though, doesn't really accomplish much for you.

[ they aren't opposed. just a little confused. they shrug! ]

But I can answer if you have questions about me.

I understand, but there should be trust made in all types of relationships and that isn't cultivated through one-sided observation.

[ you know... to feel safe or you know... have a bit of something on someone else. ]

How are you compensated?

You must be gaining something, even if it's simply feeling good for a good deed.

Oh! Yes, I am having fun. I've liked spending time with God and with the other Guardian Angels. And I like to fix things. To help people.

[ Pensive... He's thinking. ]

... I used to have dreams of a place full of golden wheat fields. They would sway to the gentle breeze under a clear sky. There would sometimes be people there, though their faces are blurred. They were always welcoming.

I don't remember much about my youth, so I used to believe those were dreams of home.

[ There, a dream. ]

Places like that exist in Heaven. Though, they also exist in most iterations and eras of Earth.

Was that... really something so unattainable?

You think I'm so dull that I only have one dream?

That wasn't the one I was referring to, but thought it would be something to share as a start to our relationship.

Oh—no. I see. I am still curious about your other dreams. But this is still an interesting one. I think people would call it "nostalgic."

Nostalgic? For something you don't remember? It may not even be real.

[ His mind could have made it up. He doesn't know. ]

But you remember the idea of it. You remember it fondly, and you connect it to feelings of 'home.'

Nostalgia can be towards many things. Things that happened, things that didn't, things that haven't happened yet.

Those feelings can be misplaced, but I suppose... It's been a while since I've thought about those fields.

Do angels dream?

[holyspirits]

Does that matter? Whether by an error or a glitch or a misremembered memory - they bring you peace of mind now, right?

[ they pause. apparently that question catches them off guard. ]

Yes.

[ He's a little conflicted about that, but it can stay that way. ]

That's a bit of a surprise since Heaven should be perfect. What can you want? What can you miss?
