[ i don't know how to go "the man has daddy issues and never learned about this" so he just kind of slips his hands in his pockets to do a lil twirl and wander off to another part of the shop. he's a very sharpdressed man, look at him go. the unfortunate thing is that he has the capability of being really hot but he actively chooses not to. ]
She would do that to me just to get revenge, but I think a date is actually important to her. Even if it feels really stupid to be overdressed in this place, but it's easier here than at home. So... thanks. I would've probably spent more time staring than picking something out.

No, it looks good, in my opinion. It would only look bad if she ended up in casual clothing, so you're overdressed.
