Well that's because she deserves freedom, don't you? [ pets and scritches... ] I do hope Anders starts to take you out for walks. [ and she looks up at him again. ] They make backpacks to carry them around, you know. But I doubt she'd run off or anything.

I used to carry Pounce in my pack, when I was with the Wardens. He never minded that much. Got quite good at finding himself a place.

He was probably just happy to be with you. I think animals are like that... Ronan used to bring Chainsaw everywhere he could. [ hm... ] Were you with Pounce for long?

Ah-- a year or so? The Warden-Commander gave him to me as a gift, but once she left for Weisshaupt, they didn't care for me having a pet around. They made me give him up.

I left him with a friend. Nathaniel's sister-- she lived in Amarinthe. She'd just had a child. I don't know, I thought they might take care of him ...

[ he is kind of sad talking about this, actually. ]

They probably have. I can't imagine a friend giving up another friend's pet without saying so. And... I'm sure if you asked, you could bring her home with you, too. [ a nod to the little kitty. ] They can't tell you to give up something that makes you happy twice, can they?

I left the Wardens. They won't ask me to give up anything ever again.
