[ i should say this is justice because it's funny, but i will not. zuriel's watching, and what anders seems to have pulled is the tower. ]

... the Tower. It's symbolic of change. Dramatic change, really.

going to sit down as well, pulling the card over to look at it - not able to quite look zuriel in the eye. the imagery is clear enough. a tower in flames, two figures in free fall. the halo of a shattered circle of magi bobs very lightly over his head.

[ she doesn't mind that he can't look at her. she lets him have that moment to himself and allows him to take the card for himself. i'm glad fandom also agrees. anyway... the tower can in fact be a scary sort of card. ]

Change rarely comes peacefully. Those who oppose it will blame you for upsetting the "peace" - so they can continue to peacefully ignore everything around them.

Ignorance and peace are very rarely the same thing. If anything it's actually worse because the only person you can blame is yourself in the end for ignoring all of the signs.

[ ...there's a sigh. ]

And still, people die. [ there's a pause. ] ... we'll find them somehow. They're not completely destroyed, just lost.
